What Satisfied Customers

are saying ....

You have a good product and timely one... I’d sorely like to do a book in this area. Increased coverage has been given to purchasing a new car in this year’s April issue of Consumer Reports. Your book, of course, goes into greater depth. I thought your research very interesting. Particularly liked Chapter 6 "Car Buying Techniques:" and your original appendices. Good stuff! Very consumer oriented... Thomas Blum, Associate Editor, Consumer Report Books,  New York, NY   I read the book and it sure helped... My savings was about $3,400.00... I then sold the car I had for about $1,800.00 dollars over the average trade value (which is what the dealer offered), making my net savings $5,200.00... I used your check list and it didn’t take too long to decide that I didn’t want to take delivery of the car... he agreed with me and ordered a new one for me on the same basis as the first... Keep up the fight of trying to help the consumers of America to help themselves. And thanks for sharing your knowledge with me. Dave Corson, Captain U.S. Coast Guard, Norfolk, VA.

You’ve really done a service to those of us that are uninformed about car buying... I despised the thought of walking from dealership to dealership knowing that I wouldn’t get the same price, treatment, or consideration like when purchasing a home... I cant’t thank you enough... Your book is humorous as well as informative and kept my attention throughout, but most important was the fact that it is instructive and took me through every step of the purchase of my vehicle including checking the vehicle before I accepted it as my own... Tom Magno, Virginia Beach, VA   I never enjoyed reading a book so much and I decided to follow it to the letter... it makes shopping for a car a pleasant experience instead of a shocking horror story... I will reread and use the book in my next purchase next year to buy another car.... I thank you so much for writing such a marvelous and timely book. I really enjoyed the experience. Jack M. Price Suffolk, VA.

Based on the wealth of information contained in your book, I purchased a Mazda Truck (SE-5) and a Stanza at two different locations and saved in excess of $7,000.00 on both vehicles. For the truck, I used the contract method. I used the contract sample in your book tailored to my needs... For the Stanza I went head to head with the salesman. True to what you wrote he did the step by step procedures. I knew exactly what was taking place since I was armed with the knowledge I gained from your book... the bottom line is that if I had not purchased and read your book and employed the techniques you wrote about I would not have saved over $7,000.00. I highly recommend your book to my family and friends. Antonio G. Mastrostefano, Manassas, VA.   I just bought a new Dodge CARAVAN from one of the local dealers. What I dreaded as being an awful experience was a delightful experience thanks - to your book SAVE 100’S $1000’S ON A NEW CAR. I didn’t order the van, rather, I bought it off the lot. (I know, never buy a car under “urgency”!!). But, the point to be made is this... your system works, even when applied
“backwards”. I must here echo your warning to be up front and honest with these guys. It pays only dividends. Everyone needs this book. Now.
To reiterate, when you have the facts, make out the “contract”, you have confidence and control. They didn’t bother me with “add ons” because I included a paraphrase of your last paragraph on the contract.
All the pretense - on both sides - was dropped. It’s great. Can’t wait til I order one, now.

My note to all of the Air Force’s Libraries read, “A delightfully anecdotal (and practical) guide for new car buyers. Since the cost of today’s cars is just behind the cost of a house, this book should be a valuable addition to any library.” Sincerely, Tony Dakan, Chief, Library Branch, United States Air Force.   I have enjoyed reading your book so much! I was terrified of buying a car until I discovered your book. Thanks for taking the fear out of this task! I got the car (Honda Civic LX) and am delighted with the car and with myself! I had such fun buying this car and using your pointers. Instead of being intimidated I felt well informed and confident. Thank you so much for your help! I would be glad to endorse your book and give my “car buying testimony”. This was the first time I had ever bought a car and you certainly took the fear out of it for me. God bless you!! I’ve just had one of the best experience of my life! It was purchasing my new Honda. Thanks to your book, the process of my new car purchase was beyond explanation. Your book struck a bullseye in preparing me for all I encountered in my new car purchase. Not only did I feel confident, in control, and knowledgeable about what I was doing, I had a heck of a lot of fun doing it. It is a great feeling to know that I saved thousands through using your book. It was amazing how so much of what you talk about happened right before my eyes. I really appreciated the degree of respect and honesty your book brought out in the salespeople, once they realized I knew what I was doing. Your book is an absolute necessity for anyone preparing for a new car purchase.
Thanks for your fantastic book! Your book helped me gain respect and honesty from the salespersons I dealt with, and your book helped me feel good about myself while enjoying the process of a new car purchase. Thanks,
Marty Phillips, Williamsburg, VA.
  Dear Mr. Krol:
I just wanted to say thank you for the information and guidance you offer in your handbook, "Save $100's, No $1,000's Buying Your New Car". When I went shopping for my new 1999 Ford F-150 pick up truck, I had recently read your book. I shopped the internet, called dealers as far away as 300 miles and checked various sources of financing. When I found a dealer in the local area that was fairly competive with others I had contacted, I went and looked at what they had to offer. I asked to see the dealer's invoice and they showed me!!! The local dealer did say that they didn't ordinarily show invoices to prospective buyers, but since I asked, they showed me. I was able to pick up my new truck for approximately $300 over dealer's invoice. The truck, a sporty edition, with several special features, was listed on the lot at $18,500+. I was able to pick it up at $15,800. That's a savings of $2,700!!! I was thrilled. It surely pays to follow your advice, shop around, ask questions, and be "car buying" saavy. Thanks, again.
